Muzaffarpur: Muzaffarpur DM Dharmendra Singh has asked for a report from Registrar, B R Ambedkar Bihar University (BRABU), Muzaffarpur, regarding alleged collection of fee far exceeding the amount fixed by the university from BEd students by different private colleges.

The fee for BEd course was fixed by the university following directive from the Raj Bhavan but some private colleges running the course are collecting huge amount exceeding the fee prescribed by the university. Students unable to pay the amount are harassed by the colleges concerned. The university had fixed Rs 1 lakh as fee for BEd course but many students alleged that the management of some colleges were collecting up to Rs 2 lakh from each student. They allegedly start demanding fee for second year much before the results of first year are declared. Such colleges are not complying with the directives of university Proctor Satish Rai either.

A student leader Munna Yadav said that anarchy prevails in the university as authorities of such colleges were ignoring the directives of university Registrar and Proctor.
