Muz police arrest liquor mafia Mohit Jain from Patna, Rs 58 lakh cash and liquor worth Rs 20 lakh seized

Muzaffarpur: Muzaffarpur police, on a tip off,  arrested liquor mafia and Hawala dealer Mohit Jain from Patna on November 7 and seized foreign liquor worth Rs 20 lakh from a container. Giving this information, Muzffarpur SSP Vivek Kumar said that police also seized Rs 58 lakh cash from the possession of Mohit, who had been supplying liquor to North ihar districts.

The SSP said Mohit is a Hawala dealer, who used to send money to a Hawala mastermind. The SSP said that police officials were interrogating Mohit. The SSP said that since it was a big racket, several teams have been constituted to probe into it. SSP Kumar said that seizure of a container loaded with cartons containing liquor bottles worth Rs 20 lakh at Saraiya in Muzaffarpur district and arrest of five persons in this connection on November 5, 2016, led to arrest of Mohit from Patna. All the five persons arrested on November 5 have been sent to jail while Mohit is being interrogated, the SSP said.
