Patna: Bihar cabinet on Tuesday decided to raise the amount of ex-gratia payment to the families of the martyred army officers and jawans from Rs five lakh to Rs 11 lakh per family. The state government will make arrangements for the last rites of the martyred jawans and officers , the cabinet resolved. The 13 items approved at the cabinet included sanction of Rs 22.53 crore for the All India police cluster meet to be held at BMP 5 grounds here. Three government officials: Anant Kumar, the then district PRO of Darbhanga, Dr Sanjay Kumar, the then medical officer of Sursand in Sitamarhi district and Ms Afsa Jahan, Commercil- taxes officer were dismissed from government service.
