Munger: The cancellation of the merit list for the posts of Executive Assistants held recently in Munger by the district magistrate has annoyed the aspirants. Munger DM Uday Kumar Singh on receipt of some complaints alleging irregularities in the evaluation of the answer-books and selections for the posts of executive assistants, has ordered a probe into the matter.
The probe committee found the allegations mostly true. After receiving the report of the probe body, the DM opined that a fresh examination be conducted ensuing no unfair means were adopted. The date for the exam would be announced later on, said official sources.
The selected persons have now taken resorted to agitation against the cancellation order of the district administration and are demanding that the same should be revoked. The district administration, on the other hand, is firm not to allow use of unfair means at the exam particularly after the topper scandal of Bihar School Examination Board. But few political parties have come forward in support the protestors.
