Patna : Mumbai lifted the limited overs Vijay Hazare Trophy defeating Delhi by 4 wickets in the final at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, Karnataka, on October 20, 2018, riding on 71 in 89 ball with 13 fours and a six by wicketkeeper Aditya Tare and 48 in 68 ball with 4 fours and 2 sixes by Siddhesh Lad. Mumbai have won the Vijay Hazare Trophy for the third time. They had last won the trophy in 2006-07 defeating Rajasthan.

Tare and Lad added 105 run for the 5th wicket. Shivam Dubey, who took 3 wickets in the match, remained unbeaten on 19 in 12 ball with 1 four and 2 sixes. Openers Prithi Shaw and Ajinkya Rahane fell to Navdeep Saini for 8 and 10 runs respectively. In fact, chasing a target of 178 runs, Mumbai lost their first four wickets for 40 runs only. Mumbai captain Shreyas Iyer fell to Kulwant Khejroliya for 7 while Suryakumar Yadav fell to Saini for 4. Delhi pacer Navdeep Saini took 3/53.

Mumbai won the toss but opted to bowl. Delhi were all out for 177 in 45.4 overs with Himmat Singh scoring 41, Dhruv Shorey 31, and Suboth Bhati 25. Mumbai made 180/6 in 35 overs.
