Mukhia’s son shot dead in E Champaran

Muzaffarpur : Three motorcycle borne criminals shot dead Raj Kapoor alias Tuntun, son of Mukhia of Kunwapur panchayat under Chakia block in East Champaran district, Malti Devi, near Hardiabad canal around 3 pm on January 16 when he was returning to his native village Hasanpur from Pipra with his brother Pappu on his bike. The unidentified criminals, who were following them, fired at Tuntun thrice from behind and escaped. Tuntun succumbed to his injuries while being taken to a Motihari hospital. It may be recalled here that Tuntun’s father and the then Mukhia Birendra Thakur too was shot dead on May 1, 2015, by criminals.
