Bettiah: Mukhiya Sangh of Narakatiaganj block in West Champaran distinct led by their president  Vijay Singh Mukhia of Binawalia panchayat on July 15, 2017, blocked Narakaiganj – Bhikhanathori Gaunaha road in  front of Shikarpur police station and paralysed the road communication for about two hours demanding immediate transfer of SHO, Shikarpur police station (PS), Chandra K Prasad Gupta for not arresting an accused Vikas Kumar Singh, an assistant under Indira Awas Yojana, Narakatiaganj block.They also demanded stern action against the SHO.

Sources said that Mukhiya of D K Shikarpur Panchayat, Brajesh Sahu, had earlier lodged a complaint with Shikarpur police station alleging that Vikash Kumar Singh was demanding bribe and on his refusal, he manhandled him. A heated exchange between Mukhiya Sahu and SHO Gupta on July 15 resulted in the road blockade. SDPO, Narakatiaganj, Aman Kumar with other official reached the spot and pacified those blocking the road. The blockade was lifted on the assurance of SDPO that he will look into the matter and action would be initiated against Vikas Kumar Singh.
