Patna : A State Vigilance Investigation Bureau team led by DSP Gopal Paswan on August 7, 2018, arrested Mukhia of Pathraura Panchayat in Nalanda District Anuj Kumar accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 from a Contractor Ranjeet Kumar, a resident of village Chabilapur, for clearing his pending Mnrega bill worth Rs 2.53 lakh under Gali-Nali Pakkikaran Yojana.

Ranjeet Kumar had earlier lodged a complaint with Vigilance Bureau alleging that Mukhia Anuj Kumar was demanding Rs 54,303 from him as his commission to clear the pending bills but later agreed on Rs 50,000, according to a Vigilance Bureau official.

The Vigilance Bureau verified the allegations of Ranjeet Kumar and found them prima facie true. Thereafter, it laid a trap and arrested Mukhiya Anuj Kumar from Mnrega office on Rajgir block headquarters campus.
