Ara : A case of elopement of a woman, mother of six children, with an unmarried youth and a close relative, came to light after a named FIR was lodged by Udwatnagar police station in Bhojpur District on March 19, 2020, on the statement of her husband. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to recover the woman and arrest her lover.
SHO, Udwantnagar police station, quoting the FIR, said that Santosh Yadav of village Asani under the police station was married to a woman of Thakuri village under Charpokhari police station about 15 years ago. With this marriage, Santosh Yadav has six children and the eldest daughter is 12 years old. The SHO said that the woman allegedly had extramarital affairs with an unmarried youth living in her neighbourhood Rahul Kumar, son of Santosh Yadav’s cousin brother Balram Singh, who works as milkman in Surat in Gujarat.
The woman fled away with Rahul Kumar on March 12, 2020, along with her youngest son, jewellery and cash. When all efforts to locate her out failed, Santosh Yadav lodged a named FIR with Udwantnagar police station alleging his wife had been kidnapped.
