Munger: The first light shower of Monsoon lashed Munger and Jamalpur cities on Tuesday after a spell of hot and humid condition for the last one month. The clouds kept hovering in the sky since morning it was not heavy rain. However, farmers were glad with this first shower of the Monsoon. Munger district particularly the Tarapur and Asarganj belt of the district are known for paddy production and Katarni variety of rice. Green vegetables like Parwal and Nenua will grow in abundance, according to the agro scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Munger. Patna, on the other hand, experienced heavy rain in the evening.
