Patna : Kento Momota, 25, Japan, remains World No 1 in the BWF rankings for men’s released on December 17, 2019, although his rankings points have increased to 1,11,918 after winning the HSBC BWF World Tour Finals Trophy at Guangzhou, China, last week. He had lost in the final to Shi Yu Qi, China, in 2018 in straight games.

Chou Tien Chen, Chinese Taipei, remains World No 2 with 80,546 points but Olympic Champion Chen Long, China, has jumped 1 spot to be ranked World No 3 with 79,640 points after reaching the semi-finals of BWF World Tour Finals at Guanzhou, China, last week. Anders Antonsen, Denmark, has slipped 1 spot to be ranked World No 4 with 77,600 points while Viktor Axelsen, Denmark, remains World No 5 with 75,788 points. Asian Games Champion Jonatan Christie, Indonesia, is World No 6 with 73,640 points.

Anothony Sinisuka Ginting, 23, Indonesia, has jumped one position to be ranked World No 7 with 72,562 points after reaching the final of World Tour Finals in China last week. Shi Yu Qi, China, has slipped one place and is World No 8 with 64,521 points.

B Sai Praneeth, India, remains  World No 11 with 55,970 points while Kidambi Srikanth, India, remains World No 12 with 55,840 points. Parupalli Kashyap, India,  also stays as World No 23 with 43,790 points while H S Prannoy, India, has jumped 1 spot and is ranked World No 26 with 40,535 points. Sourabh Verma, India, has also jumped 1 spot to be ranked World No 28 with 39,669 points.

Lakshya Sen, 18, India, has jumped 9 places to be ranked World No 32 with 37,420 points while Sameer Verma, India, who had reached SFs of World Tour Finals in 2018, has slipped 7 places to be ranked World No 33 with 37,379 points. Subhankar Dey, India, has jumped 2 spots and is ranked World No 44 with 32,370 points. Ajay Jayaram, India, has also jumped 2 spots and is ranked World N0 68 with 23,930 points.

Siddharth Pratap Singh, India, has jumped 12 spots to be ranked World No 119 with 15,050 points while Chirag Sen, India, has jumped 13 spots and is ranked World No 120 with 15,010 points. Kiran George, India, has jumped 3 spots to be ranked World N0 123 with 14,960 points. Alap Mishra, India, has jumped 1 position and is ranked World No 135 with 13,980 points while Kaushal Dharmamer, India, has jumped 12 places to be ranked World No 138 with 13,720 points.

Rahul Yadav Chittaboina, India, has jumped 20 spots to be ranked World No 141 with 13,350 points.
