Reigning Olympic Champion Chen Long, China, is World No 5 while Son Wan Ho, South Korea, is World No 6. Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, Indonesia, and Jonatan Christie, Indonesia, are World No 7 and 8 respectively.

Kidambi Srikanth, India, stays as World No while Sameer Verma, India, remains World No 13. B Sai Praneeth, India, has also retained his position as World No 21 while H S Prannoy, India, remains World No 24. Sourabh Verma, elder brother of Sameer Verma, has jumped 2 places to be ranked World No 46 with 30,139 points. Lakshya Sen, India, has slipped 2 places to be ranked World No 77 with 21,638 points. Harsheel Dani, India, has jumped one place to be ranked World No 83 with 19,070 points.
