Patna : Top seed and World No 1 Kento Momota, 25, Japan, and World No 2 and 2nd seed Chou Tien Chen, 29, Chinese Taipei, entered the final of Fuzhou China Open, an HSBC BWF World Tour Super 750 event, at Fuzhou, China, on November 9, 2019, winning their respective semi-finals matches in straight games.
Two-time World Champion Momota beat World No 26 Rasmus Gemke, 22, Denmark, 21-19, 21-8 in 44 minutes in semi-finals at Haixia Olympic Sports Centre, Fuzhou, China. Momota won 42 rallies in the match to 27 by Gemke. He also won 8 consecutive points in the match to 4 by Gemke. Momota now leads Gemke 3-0 Head to Head.
Chou Tien Chen, who has won 17 career titles, beat World No 5 Anders Antonsen, 22, Denmark, 21-10, 21-12 in 45 minutes in semi-finals. Chen won 42 rallies in the match to 22 by 4th seed Antonsen. Chou won 7 consecutive points in the match to 3 by Antonsen. Chou now leads Antonsen 6-1 Head to Head.
