Gaya/Jamui : PM Narendra Modi kicked off his Lok Sabha poll campaign in Bihar on April 2, 2019, by addressing public meetings at Gaya and Jamui. Lashing out at the Congress and other Mahagathbandhan ( Grand Alliance) constituents, Modi said that Mahamilavati, terrorists, and their supporters were very unhappy with him as bomb explosion by terrorists across the country had stopped after this Chowkidar’s government came to power at the centre. He reminded the people of Gaya bomb blasts on July 7, 2013, and wondered where the sleeper cells had gone now.

Coming down heavily on the Congress led Mahagathbandhan, Modi said that instead of holding thorough probe into different incidents of terror attack, the previous government coined the word “Hindu Terrorism” holding the Hindus responsible for the incidents of terrorism across the country. ” I succeeded in checking terrorism because of the people’s mandate. You voted for strong government in 2014, ” Modi said seeking another term for the BJP led NDA. Bihar CM and JD(U) National President Nitish Kumar and LJP Chief and Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan were also present on the occasion. The JD(U) is contesting the Gaya seat this time.

Rest assured, this Chowkidar will also complete the remaining incomplete works,” Modi thundered. The crowd roared ‘Modi, Modi’ in approval. Modi greeted the crowd in Magahi. The gathering started raising “Modi, Modi” slogan as soon as he began his speech. The PM said that the Congress leaders were seeking to belittle him by describing him as Chowkidar of Toilets as they do not like sweepers. ” When I washed their feet at Kumbh Mela, they ridiculed me,” Modi said.

Gaya and Jamui will go to polls on April 11, 2019. Sitting LJP MP Chirag Paswan is again contesting from Jamui. Chirag is son of Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan. Modi held his first meeting at Jamui. Bihar BJP President Nityanand Rai, Road Construction Department Minister Nand Kishore Yadav, and Health Minister Mangal Pandey were present at the Jamui meeting.

In a blistering attack on the Congress and other opposition parties at Jamui, Modi wondered why they were silent on the statement of former CM Omar Abdullah favouring a separate PM for J&K. This suggests they were with the gang working to disintegrate the country. Addressing a massive gathering in support of Chirag Paswan, Modi said he was surprised that no opposition party had so far criticised Omar Abdullah’s statement.
