Kishanganj : Angry tribals allegedly carrying bow and arrows on February 11 set afire Pothia police station in Kishangang district after they failed in their efforts to get from police the whereabouts of a fellow tribal Raju Hansda, who was earlier arrested by police for boozing but managed to escape while being taken for medical examination. He was again arrested and allegedly thrashed by police after which he fell ill and was first sent to Islampur and then to Siliguri in Bengal for treatment. The mob also set ablaze some vehicles including a police jeep and a Bolero. Kishanganj DM and SP reached the spot to bring situation under control.
