Mob attacks two Gopalganj SHOs in Muzaffarpur

Patna: A mob on January 10 made murderous attack on two police officers of Gopalganj at village Khenpur under Paroou police station in Muzaffarpur district. The SHOs of Kuchaikot and Mohammadpur police stations, both in Gopalganj district, had gone to Khenpur village in connection with recovery of liquor from a tanker in Gopalganj. The police officials had gone there to raid the house of an accused Ajay Rai where they were attacked with sharpedged weapon (pharsa).

Kuchaikot ps SHO Mahendra Kumar’s hand had serious cut injuries on his right hand and his head was broken into  nearly two pieces while an ear of Mohammadpur ps SHO Munna Kumar Yadav was severed. A homeguard jawan Krishna Yadav was mercilessly beaten by a mob there.  SHO Kumar was referred to PMCH.
