Mithila painting artist Shanti Devi to attend Global India Festival

Madhubani: Shanti Devi of Laheriaganj mohalla of  Madhubani town is among the five artists from the country who will be participating at the 14th Global India Festival to be held in Malaysian capital Kwalalumpur from June 1 to June 5. She is the only Mithila painting artist from the state who has been selected for a live demonstration of the art.

National Award winner Shanti Devi has been selected by the Export Promotion Council, Ministry of Handicrafts, Government  of India. She has  also been offered a stall at the festival where she can sell her
paintings in the international market. She had earlier visited Germany, Japan and Dubai and earned national and international accolades.
