Buxar : The Government Railway Police (GRP), Buxar,  recovered a 24 year old  missing UP youth from western railway crossing near Dumraon railway station under Danapur division of East Central Railways (ECR) on  April 6, 2017, evening when he was loitering there aimlessly. He identified as Monu Sonkar, 24, son of Khatai Sonkar of Pahalpura locality in Varanasi, Utter Pradesh (UP).

SHO, Buxar GRP, Akbar Ali said that during quizzing, Monu Sonkar told the  police that he had gone to market in the evening on April 4, 2017. when  four unidentified persons forcibly  lifted  him and  took him to some unknown places. On the way, they sprayed something on him after which he fell unconscious. After regaining his sense, Monu started crying. At this the kidnappers left him near Dumraon railway station on April 6 morning and since then he was loitering there.

When the GRP contacted his family members, they informed that an FIR of his missing had been lodged with the  Cantt police station, Varanasi,  on April 4, 2017. The SHO said the youth would be handed over to his family members.
