Miscreants injure women’s eye after her refusal to give them Rs 500

Ara : Some miscreants injured an eye of a woman at village Pachaina under Koelwar Police Station in Bhojpur district on February 3 when she refused to give them Rs 500. Later, she was admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital. A named FIR has been lodged with Ara Muffassil Police Station but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.

SHO, Koelwar Police Station, said that Ramavati Devi, wife of Mahendra Singh, runs a self help group (SHG) at Pachaina village under Ara Muffassil Police Station. The named accused had demanded Rs 500 from her but she refused to give the amount saying that they were not the member of the SHG. Angry with her reply, the miscreants hit her left eye with a stick when she was going to the village market alone on February 3.h
