Patna : World No 29 in ATP rankings Alex de Minaur, 19, Australia, won the men’s singles title at Sydney International, an ATP 250 point event, beating World No 37 Andreas Seppi, 34, Italy, in the final on January 12, 2019. Minaur beat Seppi in a tough contest 7-5, 7-6 in the final to win his first ATP singles title. Minaur had beaten World No 31 Gilles Simon, 34, France, just 6 hours before the same day.

Minaur served 4 Aces to 5 by Seppi. Minaur committed 4 double faults to 3 by Minaur. But, Minaur won 3 break points to 2 by Seppi. He also won 3 games in a row in the match to 2 by Seppi. Minaur’s winning percentage on both his first and second serve was much better than that of Seppi.
