Muzaffarpur : Mike and water bottles were thrown at City Commissioner, Muzaffarpur Municipal Corpoation (MMC), Sanjay Dubey, IAS, allegedly by Ward Councillors at the Board Meeting of the corporation in the presence of Mayoy and Deputy Mayor at Amrapali Auditorium on July 31, 2018.
The Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and Ward Councillors alleged that the City Commissioner Dubey was delaying execution of different schemes. City Commissioner Dubey, however, strongly refuted their charges. This led to heated exchange between him and Councillors during which one of the members sitting in the front row threw a mike on Dubey. Soon some other Councillors started throwing water bottles on Dubey leading to chaotic situation at the auditorium and the meeting was cancelled.
The Ward Councillors then staged a protest march and reached Mithanpura Police Station, Muzaffarpur, saying that they would lodge an FIR against Dubey. City Commissioner Dubey said that he had informed the headquarters and SSP, Muzaffarpur, about the incident seeking stern action against the Councillors concerned.
