Patna : Mumbai Indians (MI) scored 195/5 in 20 overs against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 45th match of IPL 2020 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, UAE, on October 25, 2020, night, riding on a 21 ball 60 runs with 2 fours and 7 sixes by all-rounder Hardik Pandya and 40 in 26 balls with 4 fours and a six by Suryakumar Yadav.
MI scored 74 runs in last 4 overs. They scored 17 runs in 17th over, 27 in 18th, 3 in 19th, and 27 in 20th overs. Hardik Pandya hit fast bowler Ankit Rajpoot for 4 sixes including three back to back in 18th over. He then hit fast bowler Kartik Tyagi for 3 sixes and 2 fours in 20th over. Suryakumar Yadav fell to spinner Shyeyas Gopal for 40 in 26 balls hitting 4 fours and a six and it was 95/3. Captain Keiron Pollard also fell in the same over to Gopal for 6 making it 101/4. Saurabh Tiwary, who hails from Jharkhand, fell to Jofra Archer for 34 in 25 balls hitting 4 fours and a six. It was 165/5 after 18.1 over. Hardik Pandya then massacred the RR bowling with his explosive knock, an unbeaten 60 in 21 balls with 2 fours and 7 sixes. He added 30 runs with Krunal Pandya in their unbroken partnership for the sixth wicket. Krunal remained 3 not out. Hardik Pandya’s strike rate was 285.71.
