Patna : Mumbai Indians (MI) scored 186/8 in 20 overs against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the 50th match of IPL 2018 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, on May 16 night riding on a 23 ball 50 by Kieron Pollard with 5 fours and 3 sixes and 27 in 15 ball with 3 fours and 2 sixes by opener Suryakumar Yadav. Suryakumar Yadav KXIP bowler Ankit Rajpoot to cleaner hitting him for 2 fours and 2 sixes in his second over. Pollard was also severe on Rajpoot, Marcus Stoinis, and Axar Patel.

Allrounder Krunal Pandya also made 32 in 23 ball hitting 1 four and 2 sixes. Krunal Pandya and Pollard were involved in a 65 run partnership for the 5th wicket. Ishan Kishan also made 20 in 12 ball hitting 1 four and 2 sixes. Captain Rohit Sharma was out for 6 while Hardika Pandya made 9. Evin Lewis also made 9.

Mitchell McClenaghan remained not out on 11 in 7 ball hitting a six and a four while Mayank Markande remained not out on 7 hiiting a four. MI batsmen hit 11 sixes.

For KXIP, Andrew Tye, Australia, in a devastating spell of fast bowling, took 4/14 in 4 overs accounting for Suryakumar Yadav, Evin Lewis, Ishan Kishan, and Hardik Pandya. Ravichandran Ashwin took 2/18 in 3 overs. Ankit Rajpoot took 1/46 in 4 overs while Stoinis took 1/43 in 3 overs.
