Patna : Mumbai Indians (MI) scored 155/4 in 20 overs against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 44th match of IPL-12 at M A Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, on April 26, 2019, night, with captain Rohit Sharma scoring 67 in 48 balls hitting 6 fours and 3 sixes and Evin Lewis scoring 32 in 30 balls with 3 fours and a six. CSK won the toss but opted to bowl. CSK bowlers particularly spinners virtually choked the scoring during the middle overs. Spinner Mitchell Santner took 2/13 in 4 overs.

Batting first, MI lost the wicket of opener Quinton de Kock ( wk) when the score was 24. Quinton de Kock fell to seamer Deepak Chahar for 15 with a four and a six. Opener Rohit Sharma then added  75 runs for the 2nd wicket with Evin Lewis. Lewis fell to spinner Mitchell Santner for 32 making it 99/2. Krunal Pandya fell to spinner Imran Tahir for 1 and it was 101/3. Rohit Sharma also fell to spinner Santner making it 122/4.

Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard remained unbeaten on 23 and 13 runs respectively. Hardik Pandya hit one four and a six.
