Patna : Mumbai Indians (MI) crushed Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 102 runs in the 41st match of IPL 2018 ar Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on May 9, 2018, riding on explosive batting by their wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan, who made a 21 ball 62 with 5 fours and 6 sixes, and brilliant bowling by almost all their bowlers particularly Pandya brother : Hardik and Krunal. KKR had won the toss but opted to bowl first.

Batting first, MI scored 210/6 in 20 overs with both Captain Rohit Sharma and opener Suryakumar Yadav scoring 36 each and allrounder Ben Cutting scoring 24 in 9 balls hitting one four and 3 sixes. Hardik Pandya made 19 hitting 2 sixes.

In reply, KKR were all out for 108 runs in 18.1 overs with both Nitish Rana and opener Chris Lynn, Australia, scoring 21 each. KKR captain Dinesh Karthik was run out for 5.Opener Sunil Narine scored 4 while Robin Uthappa was out for 14. Tom Curran, England, made 18 while Piyush Chawla made 11.

For MI, Hardika Pandya took 2/16 in 3 overs while his elder brother and spinner Krunal Pandya took 2/12 in 3.1 overs. Young spin sensation Mayank Markande took 1/26 in 4 overs while Mitchell McClenaghan, New Zealand, took 1/24 in 3 overs. Jasprit Bumrah took 1/17 in 3 overs while Ben Cutting, Australia, took 1/12 in 2 overs. Chris Lynn and Dinesh Karthik were run out. MI have now 18-4 record in IPL matches against KKR head to head.

Both MI and KKR have now 10 points each from 11 matches. SRH lead the points table with 16 points from 10 matches while CSK have 14 points from 10 matches. KXIP have 12 points from 10 matches.
