Buxar : A team of Brand Protection Service Private Limited (BPSPL) from Patna with the help of Buxar police conducted raids at three medical stores at Buxar on May 9, 2018, and seized duplicate live saving drugs worth lakhs of rupees and also arrested six persons including owners of the medical stores.

Director, BPSPL, said that he had received complaints that fake live saving medicines were  being sold in the open market at Buxar and so he and his team had laid a trap for the last three months and also informed Buxar SP Abdula Rahman about it. The SP formed a police team on his request and the team under his leadership conducted raids at Keshari Medical, Chandan Pharma and Devi Pharma and seized fake medicine mainly for treatment of Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C and Lever Cirrhosis and also arrested six persons including the shop owners.

The arrested persons were identified as Praveen Agrawal and Deepak Agrawal of Devi Pharma on Pustakalay road, Chandan Bharati of Chandan Pharma, and Abhishek Kesaril, Sriman Narayan and Asif Kesari of Kesari Medical. Director, BPSPL, said that the arrested persons disclosed that they brought these medicine from Varanasi and Patna. He said that his team will also conduct raids at different points at Varanasi and Patna.
