Meetings between cops and people will improve law & order: Bagaha SP

Bagaha: Bagaha SP Shankar Jha on Sunday said that lack of sensitivity and negligence on the part of police was the prime reason behind the rising crime graph. Providing security to the common people despite inadequate police strength is top on the agenda of police, the SP said adding meetings between police personnel and representatives of different sections of society would help generate a sense of security among the people.

Soon after taking over as the Bagaha SP on Sunday, Jha said that the nature of the crime had changed with technological development and maintaining law and order has  become a tough job for police. ” We have to pay attention to every minor incident to control law and order and our top priority is speedy investigation in cases of serious nature to ensure speedy trial in court,” SP Jha said. He said that about 366 special report (SR) cases were   pending with different police stations of Bagaha police district. ” I shall try his best to such cases,” the SP said.

The SP said elaborate security arrangements have been made to maintain law and order during Dussehara and Muharrum. He said the repesentatives of both the majority and minority community have been asked to celebrate Dussehara and Muharrum maintaining peace, harmony and brotherhood.
