Buxar : A team of State Vigilance Investigation Bureau arrested the Medical Officer, Primary Health Centre (PHC), Simari, in Buxar district, Dr Sadashiv Pandey red handed in the afternoon on October 31, 2017, while accepting Rs 10,000 as bribe from brother of an Asha worker.

Buxar SP Rakesh Kumar said that Dr Sadashiv Pandey had demanded Rs 10,000 from an Asha worker of village Ekauna in Bhojpur district for providing her a regular job. She had lodged a complaint in this connection  with the Vigilance Bureau. The Vigilance Bureau sleuths laid a trap to nab the Medical Officer red handed. As per programme, the brother of the Asha worker went to the office of Dr Sadashiv Pandey in the afternoon on October 31 and when he was handing over the amount to him, the Vigilance Bureau sleuths arrested him accepting bribe.

The Vigilance Bureau had arrested the District Programme Officer (DPO), Education Department, Buxar,Vinayak Pandey, red handed accepting Rs 15,000 from a person on April 12, 2017.
