Buxar : A married woman Neera Devi allegedly escaped with her lover on June 27, 2017, night, but before eloping she set ablaze her house located at Mahadevganj under Brahmpur police station in Buxar district.
A named FIR has been lodged with Brahmpur police station against Neera Devi on the statement of her mother-in-law Shanti Devi who alleged that her daughter-in-law had escaped with her lover and also took away jewellery and Rs 40,000 cash with her.
SHO, Brahmpur police station, Dayanand Singh said that Neera Devi was married to Sanjaay Sah of Mahadevganj under Brahmpur police station three years back and her husband works in Gujarat. Quoting her mother-in-law, the SHO said that Neera Devi had relation with another person and on June 27 night she eloped with him taking away all the jewellery and Rs 40.000 cash with her. Before leaving her in-laws’ place, she allegedly locked the door of the house when other members of the family were sleeping on the roof and set ablaze the house. When the villagers saw the flame, they raised an alarm. Hearing the cry of the villagers, the family member woke up and found their house burning.
