Ara : Bhojpur police foiled the bid of a married man Shravan Kumar to marry a second girl at Mahathin Dai temple at Bihia under Bihia police station on June 28, 2017, and took him and his other family members to the Bihia police station. Later, police forwarded them to Bagen police station in Buxar district. When the girl’s family member came to know about the first marriage of the boy, they returned home.
SHO, Bihia police station, Bimlesh Kumar, said that Shrawan Kumar of village Pokhar under Bagen police station in Buxar district was married to Runi Kumari of village Chaugai under Murar police station in Buxar district about 18 months back yet he was trying to tie nuptial knot with a girl of Lala Tola under Jagdishpur police station in Bhojpur district at Mahatin Dai temple at Bihia on June 28.
When the family members of Runi Kumari came to know about it, they complained to Bagen Police Station. On getting information from Bagen police station, Bihia police rushed to Mahatin Dai temple and brought the bridegroom and his family members to Bihia police station. Shrawan Kumar informed police that his first wife had refused to live with him and a mutual written agreement between him and his wife was ready hence he was marrying another girl.
FIR against eve- teaser : In another development, a youth Jai Prakash Choubey threw vermillion on a girl on the gate of the Tarari branch of Punjab National Bank on June 28 when she reached there with her mother. Her mother raised an alarm. Hearing her cry, people chased the youth and thrashed him but he somehow managed escape. Later, a named FIR was lodged Tarari police station against Jai Prakash Choubey, son of Ghoora Choubey of Mahadevpur under Tarari police station, on the statement of girl’s mother. The police said that the accused will be arrested soon.
