Marin beats Yufei to win women’s single title at BWF China Open

Patna : World No 5 in Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings and three time world champion Carolina Marin, 25, Spain, beat World No 6 Chen Yufei, 20, China, to win the women’s singles title at China Open, a BWF World Tour Super 1,000 tournament, on September 23, 2018.

Marin beat Yufei in straight sets 21-18, 21-13 in 46 minute in the final to lift the women’s singles title. Marin is also reigning Olympic and World Champion. Marin had won World Championship title in 2014, 2015, and 2018. She also won Gold Medal in women’s singles at 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic.
