Nawada: Dismembered body of a man, packed in three gunny bags, was found on the dry banks of river Khuri river, 1.5 km from Nawada town police station, on January 22, 2018. Had it not been for stray dogs trying to pry out the dismembered parts from the sacks, the brutal murder would have gone unnoticed. Police are trying to put ‘pieces’ of the mystery together.
A man’s body was cut into multiple pieces and packed in three gunny bags and thrown at the edge of river Khuri near Surya temple near Shobh locality, according to sources. The sight of half-a-dozen stray dogs trying to pull out the human parts from the securely tied
gunny sacks caught the attention of homeguards posted to safeguard the temple who informed the Bundelkhand Police Outpost. Police tore upon the sacks and found it was the dismembered parts of a man.
SDPO Vijay Kumar Jha informed that the local people failed to identify or provide any clue as to the identity of the slain person. The dismembered parts were sent to Sadar Hospital, Nawada, for post-mortem.
