Man sustains serious injury as bomb kept in pocket explodes

Sitamarhi: Rakesh Kumar Singh, a resident of village Dumri-Kalan under Majorganj police station in Sitamarhi district, sustained splinter injury after acountrymade bomb he had kept in the pocket of his Kurta suddenly exploded on March 25, 2018, evening.

The bomb exploded when Rakesh Kumar Singh was taking tea at a tea-stall at Majorganj block headquarters. Rakesh was admitted to Sadar Hospital, Sitamarhi. He sustained serious waist injury in the explosion. Police investigation is underway as to find out as to why Rakesh had kept a bomb in his Kurta pocket. His other accomplices would be arrested soon, said K V Dhirendra, SDPO, Sadar, adding that some cases were also pending against Rakesh.
