Saharsa : Kailu Yadav, a resident of Dinesh Nagar under Sadar Police Station (PS), Saharsa, was stabbed to death by his nephew Vijendra Yadav on November 23, 2018, evening.
This followed a complaint regarding theft lodged by Kailu Yadav with Sadar police station in Saharsa district on November 22, 2018, naming Vijendra as an accused. A Sadar PS team visited Dinesh Nagar on November 23 to investigate into the matter, said SHO, Sadar PS, R K Singh. Police quizzed some people in this connection.
As soon as police left the place, Vijendra Yadav took out his dagger and attacked Kailu Yadav. He stabbed Kailu Yadav several times injuring him seriously. Kailu was rushed to Sadar Hospital, Saharsa, but died after reaching there. Four other persons including Ward Councillor Rajesh Kjumar Singh were also injured in the incident when they tried to save Kailu. Vijendra Yadav has been arrested, said SHO, Sadar PS, R K Singh.
