Saharsa : In a sensational incident, unidentified criminals stabbed to death a resident of village Qasimpur under Banma Police Outpost under Simri Bakhtiarpur Police Station in Saharsa district Mohd. Tashir, 30, after mid-night on March 29, 2019,  when he was sleeping in his room at his house with his wife and child.

The criminals entered the room of Mohd Tashir and stabbed him injuring him seriously. The villagers rushed him to Primary Health Centre (PHC), Simri Bakhtiarpur, where the doctors declared him brought dead. The reason behind the murder of Mohd Tashir is not yet clear. Police remain clueless about the identity and whereabouts of the assailants. Police brought the body over to Sadar Hospital, Saharsa, for post-mortem.

The younger brother of the deceased was also unable to throw light on the reason behind the murder of his brother. He said that he woke up at 12.30 am after hearing the cries from the room of his brother and when he along with the villagers reached the spot they found Mohd. Tashir critically injured.

DSP, Simri Bakhtiarpur, Mridula Kumari, reached the place of occurrence and spoke to the family members of the deceased. Police are investigating into the incident.
