Sitamarhi : A differently abled (deaf and dumb) man Kailash Ram, 45, was shot dead in broad daylight by unidentified criminals at village Rikhauli under Dumra police station (PS) in Sitamarhi District in North Bihar on December 3, 2021. Kailash Ram was returning home from the village temple as usual when the criminals suddenly waylaid him and fired on him at 10 am on December 3 triggering sensation in the area.
The incident has shocked the villagers who wondered why a physically challenged person had been killed. They suspect this could be a fallout of Panchayat election. Sadar SDPO Ramakant Upadhyaya said that police were investigating into the incident and have initiated steps to arrest the culprits soon. The place of occurrence is about 8 am away from Sitamarhi Town.
