Sitamarhi : Three bike borne unidentified criminals shot dead Indrajeet Mahto, 25, near village Araria under Kanhauli police station in Sitamarhi district on September 20, 2019, evening. Indrajeet, who sustained five bullet injuries, died on the spot. The criminals sped away towards village Jaynagar.
Indrajeet was a resident of adjoining Vishnupur village and had gone to a relative’s house. His father Mahesh Mahto is a Sonbarsa block BJP office- bearer. The villagers attribute the incident allegedly to a gang war. SHO, Kanhauli police station, R K Gautam, said that investigation was underway and the criminals would be nabbed soon.
It may be mentioned here that a resident of village Musharharnia, a BJP worker under Sonbarsa block, Ram Babu Singh Kushwaha was shot dead about a fortnight back.
