Sitamarhi : One Mohammad Niyazuddin Khan, 45, was shot dead while two other persons : Naznin Khanam and Md. Munna Khan, sustained bullet injuries at village Akhata under Suppi block in Sitamarhi district on September 19, 2019, in a violent clash between two groups.
The villagers said that it all happened because of a tiff followed by shootout over a village level issues with Akhata Panchayat Mukhia’s family. The injured are under treatment at a private nursing home at Sitamarhi town. Nine persons have been made named accused in the FIR lodged with Bairgania police station in connection with the incident. The accused include Akhata Panchayat Mukhia Md Fida Hussain.
Bairgania police have arrested five named accused so far and search is on to arrest the rest four accused. The village located near the Indo-Nepal border.
