Man shot at, critically injured at Saharsa village

Saharsa : Kaushal Kumar Yadav, a resident of village Gauspur under Salkhua police station in Saharsa district, was shot at and critically injured on June 15, 2017, morning, allegedly by Ranbir Yadav, a native of village Alma, at Kanu Tola under Simribakhtiarpur police station in the district.

Police attributed the incident to an old dispute between Kaushal and Ranbir. Kaushal was first admitted to sub-divisional hospital, Simribakhtiarpur, where the doctors referred him to Saharsa Sadar hospital in view of his serious condition. Police has taken the statement of Kaushal and started probe into the incident.

Kaushal told police that Ranbir fired on him at Kanu Tola in connection with an old dispute. Kaushal alleged that he was forcibly married to Ranbir’s sister ten years back but his family did not accept the marriage. The girl was later on married to another man. Kaushal also married another girl.
