Man punished by villagers for sexual escapade in Saharsa

Saharsa : Mohd Islam, 38, a resident of Bakhtiarpur Bustee under Simribakhtiarpur Nagar Panchayat in Saharsa district, was on June 5, 2017,  thrashed by villagers, who also  tonsured his head and painted him face black and moved him around in the market area with boots hanging around his neck, for allegedly sexually exploiting some girls after making false promises to them and later blackmailing them.

Earlier, a panchayat was held on June 5 to announce punishment to him after complaint about his latest sexual escapade. Mohd Islam, son of late Nanku, is a married man. He had recently exploited a 13 year old girl. SHO, Simribakhtiarpur police station, Uma Shankar Kamat said he had received information about it but added none had objected to punishment meted out to Mohd Isalm.
