Man kills step-daughter after outraging her modesty

Ara : One Suraj Paswan strangulated to death his step-daughter Pummy Kumari, 14, at village Pawana under Pawana police station in Bhojpur district on July 13, 2018, morning, after allegedly outraging her modesty. Police brought the body over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for post-mortem but could not arrest the culprit as he had escaped.

SHO, Pawana police station, said that Leelavati Devi, mother of the deceased, had married Suraj Paswan after the death of her first husband Ajay Paswan. Pummy was her daughter from Ajay Paswan. All was going well but for last some days, relation between Pummy and her father had strained. On July 13 morning, Suraj Paswan allegedly raped his step daughter and later strangulated her to death and escaped.
