Ara: A case of murder of a person by his own brothers at village Uttardaha under Tier police station in Bhojpur district  for a piece of land has come to light after a named FIR against five persons was lodged with Tier police station and arrest of one of the accused in this regard.

Bhojpur SP Kshatranil Singh on Monday said that Daya Shankar Sah, son of Amir Chand Sah of Uttardaha, was shot dead by his own brothers on June 15 who also burnt the body in a haste with the help of their co-villagers. A named FIR against five persons: Mohan Sah, Amrir Chand Sah, Prince Kumar, Mantu Sah and Bittu, has been lodged with Tier police station on the statement of the deceased’s wife Reena Devi and the police arrested one of the accused Mantu Sah,maining  son of Amri Chand Sah and searching for the remaining accused. The SP said police would soon arrest the remaining accused. He said land dispute is said to be the reason behind the incident. Amir Chand is father of deceased Daya Shankar.

Reena Devi, wife of the deceased, said that her husband had gone to his ‘sasural’ at Bihia under the same police station on Wednesday last but his brothers and other family members called him back the same day. As he returned, his brothers and other family members started thrashing him and also shot at him and injured him. She said when she requested them to take her husband to hospital, they thrashed her too. At this, she informed her father and brothers who rushed to the spot immediately but till then, the accused had burnt her husband to death alive. When her father, Triloki Sah, brother Sonu Bhulan and sister Reema Devi tried to save him, they beat them as well. Even the police did not come on time even as they were informed about the incident. SHO Tier Police Station Bipin Bihari said that the area is naxal infested hence police took time to reach there.
