Ara : One person was killed while another injured where their motorcycle collided head-on with a speeding truck near Chadawa Mor under Nawada police station, Ara, in the wee hour on October 9, 2019.
Police brought the body to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured there. The deceased was identified as Vivek Kumar Singh, 25, of Singhahi Khurd under Ara Town police station while the injured was identified as Vikas Kumar. After the accident, the driver escaped with the truck from the scene. An FIR has been lodged with Nawada police station in this connection. Police have seized the motorcycle.
SHO, Nawada police station, said that Vivek Kumar Singh along with his friend Vikas Kumar had gone to Dhobighatawa under Nawada police station on October 8, 2019, evening, to his friend to attend home warming. When they were returning in the wee hour on October 9, 2, a speeding truck collided head-on with their motorcycle and injuring both the bike riders. Police rushed them to Ara Sadar Hospital but the doctor referred Vivek Kumar Singh to Patna Medical College and Hospital in view of his critical condition but he succumbed to his injuries on way to Patna.
