Saharsa : Shibu Sada, 25, a native of Mahadalit Tola in Tariyama panchnightayat under Simribakhtiarpur police station in Saharsa district, committed suicide on January 29 late night by hanging himself from a bamboo fitted in his room below the roof as his wife used to stop him from taking liquor and Bhang which often to fight between the two. They had quarrelled even on January 29 night after Shibu returned home having consumed Bhang.
Shibu, a fisherman, and Pinki Devi married had got married two years back. They had no issue. Shibu was a drunkard but after 0prohibition was enforced in Bihar in April 2016, he was forced to take Bhang and often used to abuse and beat his wife. On January 29, Shibu returned home after fishing but had consumed Bhang leading to fight between the two again. Later on, both went to sleep in separate rooms.
On January 30 morning, when Shibu did not come out of his room, Pinki went to his room and was shocked and shattered to see him hanging from the bamboo rod. When the villagers were getting ready for the last rites of Shibu, police reached there and sent the b0dhimy to Saharsa Sadar hospital for post-mortem. SHO Umashankar Kamat said that police were looking into the matter.
