Man beaten to death at Gopalganj village

Gopalganj: An elderly person Moti Chand Ram (55) was beaten to death by a group of persons at village Nihrua under Kateya police station in Gopalganj district on Sunday. Two groups of villagers clashed over flow of water at village Nihrua in which over half a dozen persons including two women sustained injuries. Moti Chand intervened but one of the groups assaulted him with lathis causing serious injuries to him. The injured persons including Moti Chand Ram, Deo Narayan Ram and Neha Kumari were admitted to Kateya hospital from where they were referred to Gorakhpur. Moti Chand succumbed to his injuries midway while the two others were battling for their lives.
