Sasaram: Rohtas police conducted raid in an area on NH 30 on Tuesday evening and arrested a shopkeeper Om Prakash Singh of village Kund and seized 500 gram of contraband ganja from his possession. Later, the police forwarded him to jail. A named FIR has been lodged by Dinara police station in this connection.
Youth feared drowned: Two youths were swept away by the current of river Sone on Tuesday in Rohtas district. Though one of them swam to safety about two kilometre away, the whereabouts of another youth is not known so far. Anil Kumar of Makrain and Krishna Chaudhary of Huraka were taking rest on sand bridge made on river Sone after they loaded sand on trucks. Meanwhile, the water level of the river increased suddenly and both the sleeping youths were swept away in the current. Though Anil Kumar swam to safety about two kilometre away near Berkap but Krishna Chaudhary is yet to be traced.
