Man arrested in connection with murder of his father in Rohtas

Sasaram : Police, on a tip off, on November 14, 2019, arrested one Dharmendra Mishra in connection with murder of his father Siddhnath Mishra at village Morauna under Bikramganj police station in Rohtas district on November 11, 2019. Police later sent him to jail after interrogation.

A named FIR was lodged with Bikramganj police station on the statement of Sonamati Devi, wife of the deceased, against three persons: Mithlesh Mishra, Jagnnath Mishra, and Chintu Mishra, but she did not give the name of her son. Land dispute was said to be the cause behind the incident.

SHO, Bikramganj police station, Sudhir Kumar Singh said that Siddhnath Mishra and his son Dharmendra Mishra used to sell out their pieces of land that caused difference between father and the son. Siddhnath Mishra had filed ‘sanaha’ in the court against his son Dharmendra Mishra, Mithlesh Mishra, and Seema Kuer in May 2019 and apprehended that he might be killed. The SHO said that after institution of FIR, police started investigation and during intensive interrogation of Sonamati Devi,  police got the clue and found that the son of the deceased, Dharmendra Mishra, was also involved in his murder. Police arrested him though other three named accused are still absconding.
