Mahnar BDO arrested accepting Rs 30,000 as bribe

Muzaffarpur : A State Vigilance Investigation Bureau team headed by DSP Maharaja Kanishk Kumar on September 4, 2017, arrested Block Development Officer, Mahnar, in Vaishali district, Pramod Kumar, and an Assistant in Indira Awas Yojna Riccy Kumar  while accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 and Rs 10, 000 respectively.

The Vigilance Investigation Bureau laid the trap to arrest BDO Kumar and an Assitant following complaint from a villager Sonu Paswan. SDO Ravindra Kumar confirmed the arrest of the two government employees. The vigilance team took to Patna.  Sonu Paswan, a resident of village  Phatikwara under Mahnar Block, had complained to the Vigilance Bureau that BDO Kumar and Assistant Riccy were asking for bribe from him to deposit Indira Awas Yojna fund into his account.
