Mahajan promoted to Apex Scale

Patna : Principal Secretary, Education Department, Bihar Government, holding additional charge of OSD at  Resident Commissioner’s office in New Delhi, and Principal Secretary, Parliamentary Affairs Department, R K Mahajan, has been promoted to the Apex Scale ( Chief Secretary rank). The General Administration Department (GAD) issued a notification to this effect on September 14, 2018.

Mahajan is 1987 batch Bihar cadre IAS officer. The post of Principal Secretary, Education  Department, will remain upgraded to the Apex Scale ( Rs 2,25,000 fixed) from the date Mahajan joins the scale and continues on the post.
