Saharsa : The passengers of Katihar – Jainagar Janaki Express had a lucky escape as the railway track was found broken near Gurgama – Mubarakpur Sharma Tola located between Simribakhtiarpur and Koparia railway stations on Saharsa – Mansi section of the East Central Railways (ECR) on August 10, 2017, morning.
Fortunately, the villagers noticed it. They gathered on the railways tracks in large number and started shouting and waving at the loco pilot to draw his attention. Finally, the loco pilot stopped the train and was informed about the broken track. The loco pilot informed the nearest railway station about it after which Section Engineer Rakesh Kumar and PWI Ajay Kumar reached the spot with their team and examined the track and restored the track and the train moved towards its destination. Earlier, Saharsa – Samastipur passenger train had passed through the same track.
